Verzani concentrates his practice on small business, real estate and
construction issues. Mr. Verzani is a trial attorney and
with an emphasis on business litigation matters. He has been emphasized his
practice in these fields since first becoming a member of the Massachusetts
bar in 1996. His specialty is in complex litigation matters, diverse business
disputes, and construction disputes. As a litigator, Mr. Verzani has had
experience before juries, in the Massachusetts Superior Courts. He has also
tried and handled cases in the federal court in Massachusetts and New York, Bankruptcy Courts, the Massachusetts state
district court, New York surrogate court and before various administrative
tribunals. Mr. Verzani has represented both plaintiffs and defendants. His
litigation work has involved commercial disputes (including contract,
purchase and sale agreements, and non-competition agreements); corporate and
partnership disputes; banks; real estate; secured transactions; securities
and stock options; negotiable instruments; guarantees; the sale of businesses
and other assets; foreclosures and construction defects. Mr. Verzani regularly consults with
individuals and businesses regarding real estate and corporate matters. He
has actively helped hundreds of individuals form companies, buy and sell
residential and commercial property in New York and Massachusetts. His work
has included commercial acquisitions, development, condominium conversions,
and commercial financing. Prior to law school, Mr. Verzani owned
and operated a construction company in his hometown near Seattle, Washington Mr. Verzani has served as a panelist,
speaker and participant for numerous seminars and continuing education
programs, catering to attorneys, construction professionals and lay persons.
Mr. Verzani was a ghost writer for several chapters of Massachusetts
Procedure, Alternative Dispute Resolution (Shubow,
Grillo, Grumbach & Stedman), West Group 1997; Mr. Verzani has spoken
before construction groups on such topics a lead paint, premises liability
and contract disputes. Mr. Verzani was born in Seattle. He
received a B.S. in Mathematics from New York University in 1988 and a J.D.
from Boston College School of Law in 1995. He became a member of the
Massachusetts Bar in February 1996; the Bar of the United States District Court
for the District of Massachusetts in 1997; and the New York Bar 2003. He has been a member of the Massachusetts
Bar Association, the Boston Bar Association, and the New York Bar
Association. He retired from law practice in 2013, where he went on to
develop a coffee franchise with several partners and later went on to help
several authors publish their books. In 2024 he was readmitted to the
practice of law. He currently lives in Cortlandt Manor, New
